A community access performance and gathering venue with live audio and video streaming

The Depot Town Community Room is a 49 seat multi-use interent accessable space located at 10 Cross St. in Depot Town, Ypsilanti that provides the community inexpensive access for meetings, performance, exhibits, recitals, workshops, etc. The facility includes stage and lighting, small teaching rooms, sound booth, recording options, internet audio and video broadcasting, light refreshments and catering provided by local retailers. IMPACT: The Depot Town Community Room creates a space for local artists, personalities, and families to interact at low cost with wide exposure, an option generally not available in the Ann Arbor area. Located within walking distance of several thousand neighbors, the DTCR promises to fill the void in local performance venues while simultaneously providing affordable broadcasting opportunities to the community. Our first event typifies the possibilitiesÉ.  A 12 year-old comedians birthday party heard over the internet by friends and relatives from around the country.
